Men's "Everglades" Ventilated Short-Sleeve Shirt

Engineered for the sticky days.

Named for the national park in South Florida, this is the short-sleeve variant for our hot-weather button-up: 100% woven hemp built for swampy 90°F days, ferry decks, and long walks between shade. It shares the same aggressive venting pattern as the long-sleeve: hidden mesh under the back yoke and under the armpits, designed to move heat fast, with a clean band collar that feels just as at home on a humid boardwalk as it does grabbing dinner in the city.

Features & Fit

  • Superior cooling & ventilation:Ā Hidden side-seam slits and concealed mesh under the back shoulder yoke create a chimney effect that helps move heat off your body, keeping you noticeably cooler than in cotton or polyester button-ups.
  • Built for real heat and humidity:Ā 100% woven hemp with an open, breathable structure that still works when temps climb above 90°F / 30ĀŗC and the air feels heavy, so a collared shirt doesn’t turn into a swamp.
  • Natural sun shield:Ā Dense, chemical-free weave delivering strong UV protection across your shoulders, chest, and upper back
  • Breaks in, not down:Ā Tough hemp fibers resist abrasion and sagging, softening over time while holding their shape – more like your favorite boots than a polyester shirt.
  • Fit: Relaxed through the shoulders and body for airflow without feeling sloppy; lands just below the hip for coverage that doesn't ride up
  • Intended use: Hot-weather hiking, travel, and everyday wear in 90°F+ / 30ĀŗC+ conditions, particularly for semi-arid to humid heat

Before You Buy

  • Will it show sweat?Ā It depends on the color. Desert Willow white shows almost nothing, and Chamisa tan very little. Agave green shows more, and Blue Sage shows the most. Hemp dries considerably faster than cotton and doesn't trap heat the way synthetics do, and the ventilation panels speed that up (so sweat marks that would linger in most shirts tend to go away faster). If visible sweat bothers you, white or tan is the safe bet. But if you're reaching for Blue Sage or Agave green, what you're seeing is just evidence of a hot day and the realities of certain color tones.

  • How see-through is it? All colorways are fully opaque when dry. When wet from sweat, the Desert Willow white can become somewhat sheer (this is normal for any light-colored woven fabric, including cotton and linen). Midtone and dark colorways stay opaque even when wet.

  • How does it feel when perspiring?Ā It feels different than a synthetic shirt, and that's by design. Our fabrics absorb moisture rather than repelling it, so the fabric will feel heavier than polyester when you're sweating. But polyester traps that moisture against your skin and holds onto heat. Cotton absorbs moisture too, but holds it longer and gets clingy. Linen is the closest comparison (it's also a plant fiber that absorbs and releases moisture), but our fabrics are more durable and hold their shape better when wet.
