Cancellation policy

This policy applies when you select a pre-order purchase option at checkout (for example: paying in full upfront for a discount, or paying a deposit now with the balance due later). It’s meant to be clear, fair, and practical for you as a part of one of the first members of our community and for us as a small business.

1) Key terms

  • Pre-order: You’re reserving an item that isn’t ready to ship yet.
  • Estimated ship date: The best estimate shown on the product page (and/or in your order confirmation). It can change.
  • Not yet shipped / not yet fulfilled: We have not handed your package to the carrier and you have not received a shipping confirmation.

 

2) Our pre-order purchase options (and discounts)

Option A — Pay in Full Upfront (Save 30%)

  • You pay 100% of the discounted item price at checkout.
  • Your order is reserved and will ship when available.

Option B — Deposit Now, Balance Later (Save 10%)

  • You pay 20% of the discounted item price at checkout.
  • You authorize us to charge the remaining 80% to your payment method when your item is ready to ship (see Sections 4 & 7).

 

3) What you’re agreeing to when you choose a pre-order option

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The item is not yet in stock and will ship on (or around) the estimated ship date.
  • Your order may be delayed (see Section 8 for your rights if that happens).
  • If you choose Deposit Now, Balance Later, you authorize us to charge the remaining balance automatically when the item is ready to ship.

 

4) When you’ll be charged

Option A (Pay in Full Upfront):

  • Your payment is captured at checkout.

Option B (20% Deposit / 80% Later):

  • The 20% deposit is captured at checkout.
  • The remaining 80% is charged when the order is preparing to ship (typically when we generate your shipping label / begin fulfillment).
  • If applicable, shipping, taxes, and duties may be charged with the remaining balance (depending on how your checkout is configured and what was collected at checkout).

We do not ship partially-paid orders until the remaining balance is successfully paid.

 

5) How cancellations work (customer-initiated)

Because these purchase options include meaningful discounts, we treat them as a tradeoff: you save money in exchange for committing earlier. Here’s what that means in practice.

A) Cancel within 7 days of placing your pre-order

You may cancel for a full refund of any amounts paid (to the original payment method), as long as the order has not shipped.

B) Cancel after 7 days and before shipment

You may still cancel anytime before shipment, but refunds are issued as store credit for the amount paid (including your deposit, if applicable).

  • Store credit does not expire and can be used on anything in the store.
  • This approach helps us plan production and inventory responsibly while still treating customers fairly.

C) If your order has already shipped

Once an order ships, it can’t be “cancelled,” but you can follow our Returns & Exchanges Policy after delivery, as applicable.

D) If you cancel because we miss our promised ship timeframe

If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe (or if we notify you of a delay and you choose not to wait), you may cancel for a full refund to the original payment method, even if you’re past the 7-day window. (See Section 8.)

6) Changes to your pre-order (address, size, color, purchase option)

We’ll do our best to help with changes before shipment, but changes depend on timing and inventory.

  • Address changes: Please contact us as soon as possible. Once a label is created or an order is in fulfillment, changes may not be possible.
  • Size/color changes: We can sometimes swap if inventory allows.
  • Switching purchase options: Because discounts differ by option, switching often requires cancelling and re-placing the order at the then-current price/discount. If we can switch it administratively, your total price will be adjusted to match the new option.

 

7) Deposit plan: what happens if your card expires or the 80% charge fails

If you choose Deposit Now, Balance Later, you are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file until the order ships.

If your card expires, is replaced, or the balance charge fails:

  1. We’ll email you at the address used at checkout with instructions to update your payment method or complete payment.
  2. We will hold your reserved item for 7 days after our first payment-failure email (unless the product is extremely limited and requires faster release of inventory, in which case we’ll tell you).
  3. If you update payment in time, we’ll proceed with shipment and you keep your pre-order discount.
  4. If payment is not completed within the hold window, we may cancel your pre-order and release the inventory.

What happens to the money you already paid (deposit) if we cancel due to non-payment:

  • If the cancellation happens within 7 days of your original order date, we refund amounts paid to the original payment method.
  • If the cancellation happens after 7 days, we issue store credit for the amounts paid.

Note: Banks and card networks control how long refunds take to post. We process approved refunds promptly, but your financial institution may take additional time to reflect the credit.

 

8) Delays, revised ship dates, and your right to cancel

We aim to ship pre-orders by the estimated ship date. If we learn we can’t ship on time, we will:

  • Notify you with an updated ship estimate (or explain if the date is unknown), and
  • Give you the option to cancel for a full refund instead of waiting.

If you agree to wait, you may still cancel any time before shipment for a refund as described in Section 5.

 

9) If we have to cancel your pre-order (seller-initiated)

In rare cases (quality control issues, production constraints, inventory errors, etc.), we may need to cancel a pre-order. If we do, you’ll receive a full refund of any amounts paid to your original payment method.

 

10) Mixed carts (pre-order + in-stock items)

If you purchase in-stock items alongside a pre-order:

  • We may ship everything together when the pre-order is ready, or
  • We may split shipments (if our systems/settings allow).

If you want in-stock items immediately, we recommend placing separate orders.

 

11) Refund method and timing (administrative)

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method when applicable (see Sections 5 & 9).
  • Store credit is issued to the email on your order and can be used at checkout.
  • Once we process a refund, your bank may take additional time to post it.
