Before You Buy

  • Will it show sweat? It depends on the color. Desert Willow white shows almost nothing, and Chamisa tan very little. Agave green shows more, and Blue Sage shows the most. Hemp dries considerably faster than cotton and doesn't trap heat the way synthetics do, and the ventilation panels speed that up (so sweat marks that would linger in most shirts tend to go away faster). If visible sweat bothers you, white or tan is the safe bet. But if you're reaching for Blue Sage or Agave green, what you're seeing is just evidence of a hot day and the realities of certain color tones.

  • How see-through is it? All colorways are fully opaque when dry. When wet from sweat, the Desert Willow white can become somewhat sheer (this is normal for any light-colored woven fabric, including cotton and linen). Midtone and dark colorways stay opaque even when wet.

  • How does it feel when perspiring? It feels different than a synthetic shirt, and that's by design. Our fabrics absorb moisture rather than repelling it, so the fabric will feel heavier than polyester when you're sweating. But polyester traps that moisture against your skin and holds onto heat. Cotton absorbs moisture too, but holds it longer and gets clingy. Linen is the closest comparison (it's also a plant fiber that absorbs and releases moisture), but our fabrics are more durable and hold their shape better when wet.

Women's Ventilated Short Sleeve Shirt

Everglades

Named for the national park in South Florida, this is our flagship women’s short-sleeve hot-weather button-up: 100% woven hemp built for humid 90°F days, boardwalks over mangroves, and city summers that feel like a steam room. Discreet mesh ventilation under the back shoulder yoke and at the underarms helps move heat off your skin, while a clean, easy drape makes it feel as natural with shorts and sandals as it does with jeans and flats in town.

Tie it. Tuck it. Outmaneuver the humidity.

Vents for heavy air

Hidden mesh under the back yoke and open side vents keep air moving when humidity stalls your sweat. The short sleeve frees the arms to evaporate.

Softens, never sags

The woven hemp shrugs off abrasion and resists sagging, softening over time while keeping its structure through hard, sweaty use.

Blocks sun, resists odor

The dense hemp weave delivers strong UV protection with nothing sprayed on to wash out, and hemp's natural antimicrobial character keeps odor down through humid days and repeat wears.
